Founded in 2001 by Kimberly Y. Warren, MS Ed., and Rev. R. Robert Warren, MS Ed., MCE began as an after-school program serving at-risk youth in St. Joseph, Missouri. Initially focused on tutoring and mentorship, the program quickly expanded to include music, dance, entrepreneurship, and leadership development, providing a holistic approach to student success. Since its inception, MCE has served over 3,000 youth from diverse backgrounds, representing six different ethnicities across 13 schools. Through dedicated mentorship, MCE has proudly helped students break cycles of generational poverty, graduate with honors, and pursue careers in various fields. The St. Joe Stixx Drumline has become one of its most celebrated programs, performing at high-profile events such as the Harlem Globetrotters and MWSU football games. MCE has also launched entrepreneurship initiatives, including business training programs and a student-led food trailer, giving students hands-on experience in workforce skills. Committed to breaking cycles of poverty, preventing juvenile delinquency, and fostering leadership, MCE continues to be a pillar of transformation and hope in the community.
