Our 2026–2027 Events are designed to bring youth, families, and the St. Joseph community together through meaningful experiences that celebrate giving, heritage, talent, and play. From the joy of our Christmas JOY celebration and the cultural celebration of Heritage Gospel Fest, to the creativity of Youth City Harvest Fest and the high-energy fun of Big Rider – St. Joe 500, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

YOUTH CITY HARVEST FEST 🎃
Come celebrate local talent and help our youth shine!
Join MidCity Excellence on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 4–6:30 p.m. at Faith FWC, 604 S. 20th Street, St. Joseph, for a citywide talent show, a $100 prize, and family fun.

CHRISTMAS JOY 🎄
Celebrate the joy of giving with an evening of music, community, and Christmas cheer!
Join MidCity Excellence on Thursday, December 10, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Word of Life Event Center, 3902 NE Riverside Road, St. Joseph, for KC Chiefs Rumble, St. Joe Stixx Youth, family carols, light refreshments, and a toy giveaway.

HERITAGE GOSPEL FEST 2027
Celebrate Dr. King’s legacy with an uplifting afternoon of music, heritage, and unity!
Join MidCity Excellence on Monday, January 18, 2027—MLK Day—from 3:30–6 p.m. at the Missouri Theater in St. Joseph, featuring gospel music, drumlines, praise dance, and cultural performances.

BIG RIDER ST. JOE 2027
Be a kid again and help local kids build brighter futures!
Join MidCity Excellence on Saturday, April 3, 2027, from 1–5 p.m. at the St. Joseph Civic Arena for racing fun, friendly competition, and trophies, with excitement for tiny toddlers, elementary youth, teens, and speedy seniors.
